Bob Tessier —Consumer Attorneys Member of the Month

Bob Tessier was born and raised in California. He graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1986 and has been practicing law in California ever since. He began his career as an insurance defense attorney and now specializes in personal injury, wrongful death and product liability cases. His practice is in Calabasas and he’s been a CAALA member since 1990.

One of Bob’s medical malpractice cases is the subject of a DVD that has been produced for CAALA by Juris Productions to show the inequities in California’s MICRA law. His personal passion and compassion are evident when he describes this and other cases he has handled on behalf of victims.

With a background in automotive mechanics and significant experience dealing with orthopedic and neurological injuries, Bob is always willing to help fellow CAALA members with advice and counsel.

He also believes in community involvement and thinks the best way to change the public’s perception of trial lawyers is to have a presence in the communities where members live and work. He’s very involved in charitable organizations and activities.

As an enthusiastic supporter of CAALA activities, when the new membership network was announced, he immediately signed on as an area leader in the San Fernando Valley.

He’s also very involved with CAALA’s Legislative Grassroots committee and the joint CAALA/CAOC Candidate Monitor Program. As one of CAALA’s “Candidate Monitors” he has developed relationships with state legislators Cindy Montanez, Richard Alarcon and Barry Groverman, all three of whom are 2006 legislative candidates in the west San Fernando Valley.
