Summary

Diversity is at the forefront of CAALA, including diversity on the Bench. Diversity is about what makes each one of us unique and this includes our social and economic backgrounds and respecting our differences based on ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Diversity in the judicial applicant pool also means practice areas. We often question our judiciary and what they are doing for us and our clients. Now is the time to look within our membership and work with lawyers and judges on building a path to the bench.

2020 has brought about many changes and challenges that have brought many of us to our knees and kept many of us on our toes. 2020 has shown us our weaknesses as individuals and as an organization. 2020 has also shown us our strengths. In 2020, CAALA joined forces in support of Black Lives Matter and CAALA spoke out against Azerbaijan’s attack against Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh. CAALA is the nation’s largest local association of plaintiffs’ attorneys that educates, connects, assists, and advocates for its members and the consumer. We are passionate about each other’s personal growth and financial success; but now its time to look even further to encourage and support our members that wish to pursue a path to the judiciary.
