The ability of consumer attorneys to represent their clients is greatly affected by the actions of the California Legislature and the United States Congress. One good bill can correct injustice; one bad bill can create it.
CAALA, in partnership with state and national consumer attorney organizations, offers our members the opportunity to learn about important legislative issues, to advocate for the preservation of the civil justice system with elected officials and to support consumer friendly candidates seeking public office.
Governmental Relations Committee
CAALA members meet together monthly to hear informative speakers, to discuss current issues and to organize for preservation of the civil justice system.
Outreach to Legislators
In our grassroots lobbying program, teams of CAALA members meet with their local legislator to educate them on our issues and build a strong working relationship.
Political Action Committee Consumer Attorneys are able to give strong support to consumer friendly candidate through the financial contributions by individual CAALA members to the PAC fund.
